Pleinair - 2018 Spring Unreal Engine 4 Jam

In 2018, Epic Games hosted a game jam during the springtime. This was a five day event where participants work alone or with a team (up to 5 people) to create an Unreal Engine 4 game based on a given theme. The theme this time around was:
Transformation
I teamed up with a 3D modeller and a sound designer/composer. Together, we created Pleinair (stylized as "PLEINAIR").
In Pleinair, you control a flying paper aeroplane. The goal is to drop seeds onto dark crystals which will cure the area around them. Once you have cured everything, the giant tree will come back to life and you can proceed to the next level.
Technological highlights of this game include the almost seamless transition between the grass and landscape, and the interactive grass and flowers. You can read more about my technique for interactive grass over on raywenderlich.com.
