Lantern - 2017 Epic MegaJam

Back in 2017, Epic Games hosted their largest annual game jam - the Epic MegaJam. This was a seven day event where participants work alone or with a team (up to 5 people) to create an Unreal Engine 4 game based on a given theme. The theme this time around was:
However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light
I teamed up with a 3D modeller and a sound designer/composer. Together, we created Lantern (stylized as "LANTERN").
In Lantern, you control groups of colored fireflies. The goal is to get specific a specific number of colored fireflies to the end. These fireflies like to stay around light but they can travel through darkness too. Be careful though because if they hang out in the dark for too long, they'll die!
Unfortunately, Lantern did not win us any prizes but we did manage to get featured on Alpha Beta Gamer.
Lantern makes for a beautiful yet challenging puzzle game with inventive puzzles and a wonderfully serene environment. It’s a delight spreading light through the darkness in this cleverly crafted and chilled out little puzzler.
